Our Deadly foe, Brady folks and loop hole junk

Wait a moment, isn’t it a requirement that every gun that is bought through the internet be sent to a gun dealer that is required to do a federal firearms check just like if you walked in a bought a gun? The guns can’t be sent directly to a person anymore unless it’s an antique or a black powder gun. So this law suit is dead in its track’s.

We, as informed citizens, know the LOOPHOLE chat/talk is just a tool to upset folks, do we not? The liberal progressives spout this poisonous rhetoric to the folks that are too busy trusting the media others. If the media and special interest groups say this over and over, capitalizing on the news of mass shooting a large number will believe this. Never mind the hard facts from Big Bro of the fifteen top cause of death in the USA or the murder of unborn babies being referred to as a women’s choice or reproductive rights or a Constitutional right to privacy. It is their way. I fear it shall work. Last night on MSNBC (I do view these enemies of freedom to be informed); a group of folks were talking about the right of the folks to have a weapon. One commentator asked the question, “Does this mean citizens have the right to a tank or flamethrower?” one other commentator stated maybe a person in a rural area needs a firearm to kill snakes or rabid dogs but no civilian has the need or the right to the dreaded AR-15, AK-47 or large capacity clips. Again and again, we hear the statement that a deer hunter does not need the ability to spray bullets into a crowed. They are correct. However, a person does have the right to own and properly use this large capacity magazine. Not so, they can kill innocents but so we may not be INFRINGED upon by a government-gone wild. Preaching to the choir, I am.

True but I think they are talking about LOCAL boards where the states that allow person to person sales are legal. Ie here in Maine there are many online places where we buy sell and trade firearms with other Mainers. You have to do a face to face transfer as shipping them to another person would be illegal.

There are two flea markets in my area where you can buy any type of firearm you want and there is no sales record kept. Crap like this needs to stop, unless a seller has a FFL and does the paperwork. Most of the yahoos who sell this way here locally can't read or write enough to get a FFL or fill out the sales paperwork either. Redneck economics at it's best!

What the hell is an "internet gun show". We have a regional Facebook Gun Traders' page, but there is no mail order involved, every trade involves a face to face encounter.

When did liberals need the truth to promote a "crisis"? This is total BS, I'd say.

Here we go, from the Coalition To Stop Gun Violence:

To date, the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) has prevented nearly 1.8 million criminals and other prohibited purchasers from buying guns. The law also has a deterrent effect—prohibited purchasers are less likely to try to buy guns when they know comprehensive background check requirements are in place.

Unfortunately, current federal law requires criminal background checks only for guns sold through licensed firearm dealers, which account for just 60% of all gun sales in the United States. A loophole in the law allows individuals not “engaged in the business” of selling firearms to sell guns without a license—and without processing any paperwork. That means that two out of every five guns sold in the United States change hands without a background check.

Though commonly referred to as the “Gun Show Loophole,” the “private sales” described above include guns sold at gun shows, through classified newspaper ads, the Internet, and between individuals virtually anywhere.
