I have started backing off religious confrontations because the antagonists to religion have depleted their arguments against religion and have become redundant in their posts. Frankly, I see no reason for arguing because neither side will change their stance and we all wind up peeing in the wind. The future of mankind will be the same for all, we will live for a number of years and then we will die. That will not change for any of us. Religion helps those of us who believe in God live our daily lives and have the hope of a future living with God. Those who don't believe in God, well, I don't really know if they have any expectations for an existence of some sort after death but, if they are satisfied, I am tickled pink in their decision. Contrary to the thought of religion being a threat to our future and civilization, I feel it is the only vestige of hope we have left for the future. From our inception, religion has played a major role in our everyday lives and our prosperity. We became the most prosperous nation in the world and religion was very important to the entire nation. As we grew, religion started to fall by the wayside here and other countries as well. The further we get from religion, the worse our country, and the world, fare. The world has turned upside down...what was bad is now good. What was good is now bad and, contrary to arguments against the Bible, the situation proves the claims of the Bible, especially the part which states that few will find the right way. Regardless of the twists and turns of arguments about religion, I will stick with Joshua 24:15, ".....as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."
