We are NOT required to inform police that we have a firearm, when pulled over. Though, from what I gather, most police assume that we must inform them. But there is no law in OR requiring us to do so.

Just a couple of minor things...

1) Neither the automobile carry restrictions nor local restrictions on open carry apply to CHL holders.

2) While I am sure that is the way you meant it, the wording really does not make clear that the 6 mos continuous residency only applies to resident aliens...not citizens. A citizen can get a permit the day he/she establishes residency in OR.

3) An approved training class is required for a CHL.
