Be careful where you open carry... Cities can ban it.
Cities (except Denver) can't ban it that's the whole point of State Preemption. Castle Rock's law only banned OC in city owned buildings and parks not the entire town.
Yes, I apologize, I wrote that in too much of a hurry (taxes are evil but they must be filed). I should have been more clear and said "Cities can ban it in public spaces," which is what I meant--or would have if I hadn't been searching for a power of attorney I needed. Careless of me (lesson learned, no posting in haste). What brought on the overturn of Castle Rock's ban was they attempted to expand it, to include pretty much anything considered "public." I think they were even trying for sidewalks. If that's the attitude of a small city with a lot of gun-friendly people... I'd still be careful and look up city ordinances before OC-ing there.
Interesting and why are they so un willing to either A accept another states CPL or B issue a Non-Resident CPL? Does anyone have an idea? Just curious as I am from Washington and my In-Laws are from Kansas so we have to go through Colorado to get to Kansas.
Well 26 states actually accept a Washington Resident Permit and Washington accepts anyone who accepts ours except those who issue them before 21 years of age or don't have sufficient mental health checks with BG check.

Doesnt it seem rather odd that on the Colorado Bureau of Investigations- Concealed Handgun Permit FAQ - Only -one- question has been asked?
