Open Carry at Las Vegas Casinos?

Has anyone OC'd at a casino on the strip? I am going to Vegas in March and my CO CCW permit is not recognized by NV. I would like to be able to at least check in and get to my room while OCing. Am I just asking for a big hassle, or are they used to it? I am staying at the Paris so I would have to carry from the parking garage all the way through the Hotel and Casino area to the front desk and then up to my room. Last year when I went, I just packed my pistol as if I were traveling, unloaded and locked in a pistol case within my luggage, but I would sure like to keep my pistol on me. If anyone has done this, how did it go?

OC will get you hassles in Las Vegas. LVMPD will make life rough on the public streets. Hotel/casino security will respond when on private property.

Get a NV non-resident CFP. To avoid hassles.

Personally I am not a big believer in OC. You are asking for trouble with the law and you are asking for trouble with your fellow man.... anyone looking for a gun to bump off his business partner is going to bong you over the head and just take yours.

That is why in many states OC is frowned upon and printing while CCWing is either frowned upon or an offense.

My motto?

Alway carry concealed
Never tell anyone you are doing so

Glock Fan is absolutely correct. Don't try OC on the strip.

Tell that to the OC group that regularly OC on the strip.

Might you get some "hassel" from LVMPD? Yes, maybe.

Do I personally recommend OC on the strip? No, not really. I much prefer CCW in those types of places.

Almost everywhere in Vegas, you're fine OCing, including the Strip. Most casinos will ask you to leave however. I OC daily, and have only been "hassled" by Metro once over the past several years.
