I live in Connecticut and do have the CT permit

I do have 7 acres on my property and I do like to walk around my land

Can I Open Carry my glock on my Hoster on my land ?

If A neighboor some how see me carrying a gun on my hoster ( lets say getting my mail ) am I going to be in trouble? It's legal ?

If some one knock on my door and I open the door with my gun on my hoster ? is that ok?

I know its a few cenarios , Its legal ?
thank you

Check your local laws. When I lived in Connecticut, I got a carry permit and open carried when I was out squirrel hunting all the time. Most places you can open carry on your own property.

I can't imagine it would be illegal on your own land, still check your local laws, but as for going to get the mail it may be. If you cross the road to your mail box or in any way leave your property it could be illegal. I don't know if open carry is legal in Connecticut or not as I've never been there.

You must check your county/city ordinances because Connecticut does not have state preemption. In regards to state law only, the answers to your questions are:

Yes.
No, Yes.
Yes.
Yes.

Your local county/city ordinances may be more restrictive.

Connecticut is a carry license, not a concealed carry license. BUT, the catch 22 is you cannot cause another alarm or distress by brandishing a weapon. There are gun laws that apply to private property too (like having to lock up the gun or the ammo when in proximity to children) so I would call the State Police firearm division to ask your specific question.

In other words, your Constitutional rights can be restricted if your use of them alarms fools. Next will be if you say something politically incorrect, you are subject to arrest for creating a disturbance in those who disagree.

open carry at home

Private property...unless they have a warrant to confiscate your Firearm there is nothing they can do. They are tresspassing, if they have a warrant, it has to spell out exactly why and what they are looking for.
