Only one week left in new york to buy a new gun from an individual

Got Beretta's?
March 15th is the "Ides of March" or the beginning of the last week of winter.
Winter will be in her death throes and we will have everything from a nice sunny day to thunder and lightening to snow and ice.
It is also a benchmark for Andrew Cuomo and his Democratic lackey's.
It is the day one of the new restrictions go into effect.
You can still do private sales until next Friday, March 15th without a background check.
After that I don't know what is going to happen.
I don't know how you are going to get a background check for a private sale.
It is really not the way the FFL's are set up.

The good news is: Technically the way the law currently stands anyone possessing any firearm becomes a criminal.
That includes LE.
Thankfully it is not a felony...... so we can all go turn ourselves in at the county court house.

Criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree..

A person is guilty of criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth
degree when:

(1) He or she possesses any firearm, electronic dart gun, electronic
stun gun, gravity knife, switchblade knife, pilum ballistic knife, metal
knuckle knife, cane sword, billy, blackjack, bludgeon, plastic knuckles,
metal knuckles, chuka stick, sand bag, sandclub, wrist-brace type sling
shot or slungshot, shirken or "Kung Fu star"

Well i don't know to many people here that are going to comply with an illegal law. I know i'm not going to, screw them i'm going to protect me and mine. Here's why just last week my wife had an accident she called 911, 4 times 2 hours later no one ever showed up so we just exchanged information.Lets hope the other guy is honest and you think the police are going to protect you??? think again and this is why I will never give them any information about any guns I have or sale

Don't forget this a$$-clown (flying around the New York State's most embarrassing city) ......

Was at Gander Mtn the other day. Overheard gun dept employee tell someone...No more Glocks will be able to be sold in NY State. When the customer asked why, he responded that Glock will not modify their guns or magazines to fit NY SAFE act laws. So, all Glocks will exceed the 7 round magazine limit...and as a result, will not be able to be sold in NY.

Kudos to the manufacturers who have refused to sell to LE Agencies in the state. If, as Emporer Cuomo has shouted in his speeches referring to us, the 'great unwashed'..."YOU DON'T NEED 10 ROUNDS....", then why should LEO's "NEED" 10 rounds?

I'm sure they'll respond that LEO's need 10 rounds because criminals won't adhere to the laws....to which I say.... if a LEO can defend himself with a 10 round mag, then why can't I? Is my life less important than the LEO's? Does his family deserve to have him around after an encounter with a criminal, but my family can "GET ALONG WITHOUT ME" after a similar encounter?

As for me, while I vehemently disagree with the law, I will unfortunately have to comply..."for now"...until the courts hopefully rule the SAFE ACT unconstitutional...I don't want to lose my ability to carry in the meantime. Also, "for now" means....until we can complete our plan to move out of NY. I'm taking my income tax dollars, my spending power and my guns out of NY in no less than two years. Just need to get my business licensing and logistics set up. We've had enough!!!

Have people in New York demanded these asinine laws be rescinded or that fascists Cuomo and Bloomberg be removed from office? The people need to learn whom works for whom. If they refuse to step down then they should be arrested by sheriffs and if that doesn't work then it should get ugly.

Come south, to warm and balmy Pennsylvania, where we are surrounded by three of the crappiest states when it comes to gun laws (NY, MD, and NJ). PA welcomes all NY'ers as long as they leave the NY socialist mentality to the north. According to Obama, we cling to our Bibles and guns here in PA and that's just fine with us. We love it here... well except that Philadelphia part, but we are working on having NJ annex it so we can run the state even more efficiently.

Almost every county north of NYC has voted a resolution to oppose it. Protests in Albany, calling senators, opposing in local government; Cuomo doesn't care. He forced through the strictest law in the country and isn't going to give it up. We're out numbered by democrats in NYC, and other major cities.

I went to Iowa, which is better and now AZ, which is better than both in terms of gun rights. It's refreshing to see open carry and no one freaks.

I'm kinda new at this posting biz so let me know if I am making some mistakes. My question to all of this is, if it's a private sale between two individuals, unless one party tells about it, who's gonna know? (Other than selling to an undercover cop, a "Private" sale is Private.)
