Only in America

Only in the United States do people have such a great selection of firearms to buy. Think about it, some countries limit the caliber of handgun you can own and only allow a certain amount of selection for hunting rifles and shotguns. Here in the U.S. we can purchase pretty much any handgun made. Just the enormous amount of different handguns available to U.S. citizens is staggering. Take any caliber; .22 .32 .380 .38
9mm .40 .45 .357 .44 etc. Look at how many guns in each caliber are available to gun owners in this country. There are other countries who would like to have just half of these guns available to them.

Now is America really so bad? :triniti:

The more people like you, that are okay with giving away a little bit at a time, is what's going to make the country that's "not really that bad" into all those other countries.

Not yet, but I aim to keep it just as you describe it. Don't ever let your guard down. The forces of evil do not sleep.

The attitude of giving up a little here and a little there, because it really doesn't affect me that much, is what has gotten us in the hole we are in now. The anti-Constitution progressive liberal socialists are very good at bringing the pot to a slow boil. Before you know it people are scratching their heads trying to figure out what happened. The main stream media is complicit in helping the progressive liberals attain their goal of the United Social States of America. Only in America is being rich a curse or a blessing depending on your political party affiliation.

Websters Dictionary says:
freedom
free·dom [free-duhm]
noun
1. the state of being free or at liberty rather than in confinement or under physical restraint: He won his freedom after a retrial.
2. exemption from external control, interference, regulation, etc.
3. the power to determine action without restraint.

America is not so bad precisely because we are supposed to be free as definition 2 states.

Websters Dictionary says
right [rahyt]
noun
18. a just claim or title, whether legal, prescriptive, or moral: You have a right to say what you please.
19. Sometimes, rights. that which is due to anyone by just claim, legal guarantees, moral principles, etc.: women's rights; Freedom of speech is a right of all Americans.
20. adherence or obedience to moral and legal principles and authority.

In addition to that the Freedom claim of America we have the Bill of Rights which legally guarantees these rights in the Second Amendment as the definition 18 and 19 show when Right is used in the Noun context. This is precisely what makes America not so bad.

Interestingly enough the word Free has the antonym (opposite) of Limit when Free is used in the Verb format. So when you say that countries limit what their citizens can purchase that means they are taking their Freedoms.

So when I hear the word limit/ban/restrict (all of which are synonyms which means that they mean similar things), then I hear taking my freedom that is is due to anyone by just claim, legal guarantees (Bill of Rights). Accepting a limit or ban on a Constitutionally guarantee is not legal and is not in keeping with what makes America great.

You forgot all of the rifle calibers. For the time being the United States is a terrific place to call home. We hope to keep it that way.

The other countries that limit the type of handgun or firearm a person can own does not stop at those limitations. They try to limit everything you do in life...what you can say in public, what you can wear, what you can eat, who you can associate with, where your kids can go to school...oh wait...that is happening in America too...in particular Bloombergistan! Once they have taken your means to secure your freedom they will do whatever they want to you.

Lets "keep it like it is" that being "not so bad" by eternal vigilence and not giving an inch when it comes to our freedoms.

Only in America could someone stand on the 1st Amendment to troll gun forums to argue against the full width and breadth of the 2nd Amendment. Mr. C. Luznar has an interesting, though very short considering his 54 years old age (or 64 depending on which social media site you believe), history on the interwebs. All of a sudden in March, 2012, cluznar started showing up on very many gun forums. I found only a couple of references to the same user name before that time, and they were on sites devoted to the Zodiac Killer case, and Join Dates for the many gun forums he joined range between only March and April, with one extending into May, and another anomaly out to October. This is the list of gun forums that showed up in just the first 50 returns of a Start Page search:

The majority of forums that listed the specific day the member joined, show cluznar joining between the 27th and 30th of April, 2012. Who joins more than 15 forums within just three days of each other? And for what purpose?

Most of his content is exactly like it is here. Limit magazine capacity, ban "assault weapons," who needs more than 10 rounds, who needs bigger than 9mm, blah blah blah. The posts following his where the word "troll" appears in relation to his posts are innumerable.

In one sales thread on the Ruger Forum, he was trying to sell his Stoeger Cougar compact 9mm, and the content of the post is confusing to say the least:

This gun has a 3.6 chrome-lined barrel, Safety/Decocker, 13 + 1 rounds
It is accurate, dependable, and shoots any ammo with no problems.

This gun has never been fired or taken apart, comes with two 13 round mags, cable lock, casing from round fired at factory, instruction manual, all in original hard case and original box.

You want a great 9mm for a reasonable price, this is it.

C. Luznar

So how does he know how accurate and dependable it is, and that it feeds any ammo with no problems if it's never been fired? Can y'all imagine someone buying from this guy with that add-copy being the only "knowledge" they had of him to go on?

I imagine most of us are members of multiple gun forums. How many of us joined most of those forums in only three days though? How many of us post stuff to stir the anti-2nd-Amendment pot everywhere we go though?

Speaking of pots, or "pits" is maybe a better word, I picture this guy holed up in a dump, probably the dank basement of a dump. Dark, in a lousy neighborhood, maybe a muslim grocery store on one side of him, and a little kiosk-like Dairy Land ice cream joint on the other side. I picture him sitting in his studio or one-bedroom apartment pounding out posts on various gun forums to see how many hackles he can raise with his anti-gun baiting. It wouldn't surprise me if his place looks like this:

Wow.............................

cluznar must be one of the douche bags the anti-gunners are hiring for 11 bucks an hour.

My thoughts exactly.

A couple of sites I found say that he fancies himself a "writer." He seems to have tossed around the idea of becoming a screenwriter, though I found no credits to his name, not even so much as the dialogue in a real douche bag commercial.

What I did find that was off-site of any of the gun forums was places like this little gem of an essay. Apparently he's just trying to keep his writing chops up though, because no real 2nd Amendment supporter would write stuff like this:

....When someone who owns handguns and talks illogically about their guns, it could be a sign they need help.....

Doctor, heal thyself!

...Another good way to help gun control is by having college classes which focus on people who have problems and may own guns. College students should be aware of other students who seem to have a bad attitude and also own guns. Students should be encouraged to tell college officials if they know another student who owns guns and may be having social or mental problems. It could be done anonymously and might save other peoples lives.

Umm....yeah, either that or it could cost the life of the deviants who run around asking their fellow students about their gun-owner status, only to then run to the Administration Bldg. immediately after finding one dumb enough to answer their questions and snitch on them because they like those eeeeeevil black rifles!

And the passage you all knew was coming, cluznar's standard proof that he is instead, cluezlessnar.

As for gun bans, without a doubt assault rifles must be banned, citizens have no need for assault rifles in an educated society.

Definitely one of Obama's Army, because only the dumbshit progeny of government education could come up with a truly brain-dead line like that one.

Those were just excerpts. There's two pages of that drivel at the link.

Whether intentional or not, this dude is definitely a government shill. I'm betting it's unintentional, which just makes him a useful idiot, with the emphasis on "useful" ... no, "idiot" ....wait....umm....oh nevermind, take your pick.

That is a great thing about the USA, everyone is allowed their say. Would you ever want to live in any other country?
I believe more background checks will be as far as the Government gets with gun control now. People will still own any gun they want. Only in America, land of opportunity.

Actually we can't own any gun we want. Sigh...we might as well start talking to vegetables, I believe they have a better chance of learning.

Not all people are allowed to have their say. If one says anything counter to your progressive socialist agenda in the media, they are relentlessly excoriated by the state run propaganda outlets. People cannot own any gun they want. Thanks to you and the mindless minions like you who vote for the criminals currently running things, we will have fewer selections. One more thing, this country is looking more like the land of oppression rather than opportunity. This again, thanks to naive shills that think like you.

More forums need an /ignore option for trolls ;)

This one has an ignore function. Most do, in fact. I went to the trouble of finding all that info on this government shill/troll partly to give many of you reason to use the ignore function if that be your choice, or to steel yourselves against his tripe and counter it with legally-sound, constitutional arguments that his cohorts (handlers?) in government that are undoubtedly watching here, will see as originating from smart, patriotic, law-abiding citizens, rather than the extremist, blood-thirsty, wanton killers their program of gun-forum infiltration is intended to expose, albeit that their intentions come from a completely jaded, uninformed, ideological and constitutionally-vapid perspective.

Personally, I will probably choose the ignore function in the end. I may not be done exposing this tool for who/what he is as of this writing though.

Problem is that we've allowed corporate lobby and other special interest groups their say to supercede our say. However, we deserve it - too busy watching TV, worshipping and enriching entertainers.
