BILL NO: A00380 (same as S.725)

SPONSOR: Paulin (MS)

COSPNSR: Cook,Schimel,Rosenthal,Jaffee,Kavanagh,Camara,Abinanti,Lavine

MLTSPNSR: Boyland,Brennan,Clark,Cymbrowitz,Hooper,Perry,Weinstein

Requires the renewal of firearms' licenses after five years and the taking of a safety course outside the city of New York; sets a date for expiration and provides for a schedule for recertification to be developed by the commissioner of criminal justice services.

This bill has moved to its’ third reading today and may soon be called to the Assembly floor for a vote. It is a dangerous bill that will lead to ever increasing fees and a growing list of restrictions (ie : New York City). Please contact your legislator and urge him to vote no on this unconstitutional legislation that is a violation of our civil rights.

I'am so sick , and Tired of Continually Aquing , Fighting every time some Libtard comes up with outragious bills to Screw the Legally Armed Permit Holders of New York

There has to be a better way to express our Rights , Concerns to these poeple. Just wish I had the answers. If anyone has any Input please pass it Along. So that, We can take action.

They are hoping that you (we) become weary and let them win on. This bill is not only for NYC but for the whole state. I for one, most upstaters I know, have contacted our representatives in the house. But the house is loaded with NYC anti gunners. To date our saving grace has been the NY Senate that has quashed most of the onerous bills from the NY House.

If other state members can help vote out the incumbents of New York, we would gladly do it. At the moment that can only happen in the general election wherein even Mickey Mouse can vote in other states not excluding Disney World et al, then the majority of the vote doesn't count because it is the electoral college that decides who the winner is...I am still confused by that really. I think the only real solution is to contact our own states' representatives so that the laws of NY will not be mirrored in ours. If our reps listened, if enough reps listened then NY will probably changed its mind and emulate our own states total agreement with the law, maybe there will be a chance they will cave in. But then that is NY, pretty much like Killinoise and Kommiefornia. They want to be an island to themselves so be it? Tell us how we can help...something doable not impossible...

This amazing bit of legislative garbage has 15 sponsors and co-sponsors, all of whom live within 50 miles of New York City, and 10 of them in New York City. The idea of forcing the way the city has always done things on the rest of the state is not new here in New York. And it is not going to stop any time soon. This bill will probably not make it through the State Senate. I e-mailed my representative last night when I got the NYSRPA alert. This is just one more example of why I feel New York City should be separated from the rest of the state. Make it a district along the lines of Washington, DC. Another place that nothing good has come out of in the last four years.
