Who else is excited about the Olympics. Love watching professionals at this level competing. Had a blast watching 4yrs ago.

What shooting sports are there? Think any of them will be broadcast?

Boxing is my favorite. What is urs?

Ordinarily, the time between the end of basketball season and the beginning of football season is boring for me because the only only sport that's on during that time is baseball, which I don't even watch. So yes, I'm very much looking forward to the Olympics.

Didn't take him (rdm6680) long to come back. POS

The Olympics are a joke anyway.

In the Paris Olympics of 1900, live pigeons were used as targets. After those Olympic games, they switched to clay targets. Know you now!

That's awesome and more challenging in my opinion. I forgot about skeet. Wonder if it will be on tv.

I like gymnastics, shooting, and weightlifting.

Gymnastics takes an amazing amount of strength, there is a youtube video out there of Alicia Sacramone (5.2 maybe a buck oh 5) knocking out a guy w/ one punch. She even told him she was going to do it and he didn't believe her.

I love the Olympics. I deeply regret not going to the SLC winter games back in '02 when I had the opportunity. I would have had VIP passes to almost any event because my sister (an architect) was heavily involved in the design and construction of the Olympic Village. She was on several committees and also served as a liason during the games and as a result had almost unlimited access to the games and facilities. My brother went and had the time of his life. I didn't go because I despise snow and freezing cold weather. What a fool.....

Swimming is probably the most exciting to watch.

My favorites however are archery and sword fencing.

I love the ads/skits that Morgan Freeman does on Jay Leno's show on late-nite tv, where he says, "you cant be a dummazz and expect to make it to the Olympics."

Since we're already talking about the Olympics can we talk about Nastia Liukin's epic face plant last night?

Too bad for you that trolling is not an olympic sport.

I used to like the Olympics more than I do now. I know basketball, and volleyball all have people that enjoy playing and watching, but they are not Olympic sports to my way of thinking. But then neither is snow boarding. There's nothing wrong with any of these sports, I just would rather watch shooting competitions, fencing, and track and field events. Weight lifting and wrestling are far more interesting then tennis. Coming from London, I doubt we will see any televised shooting events though.

I didn't see it. Post a link.

I can't do youtube at work but it was bad she was on the uneven bars and lost her grip, she fell straight down spread eagled onto the mat.

The she showed what a class act she was by getting up and finishing the routine like nothing happened
