I was charged with an assault and battery it wasn't domestic or anything this guy was harassing my wife but anyway it was dropped to a disorderly conduct. I am now wanting to get my ccp will this affect me from getting my permit thank in advance Jess

I'm not sure, but you stand a good chance, but tell them everything and not just disorderly conduct. You can go to the OSBI website and ask them; they are very helpful.

Disorderly conduct is a misdemeanor offence, it will not disqualify you.

Just fill out the osbi form with what what you were convicted of. I don't think a disorderly conduct charge will hurt you. I hear that they are more likely to deny it if you don't include every little thing in your record than anything. A disorderly conduct charge is a far cry from an assault charge
