Ok, many of you will probably read this and roll your eyes, but here we go.
I’m from the generation with metal frames and wood stocks and forgrips. Cleaning, wipe down everything and if you got some oil on the wood it just added to the finish.
Now I have a question for you guys.
A couple of years ago I bought a Diamondback DB9, my BUG. It’s a polymer frame compact 9mm. And over the last few years I’ve acquired a couple of long guns with synthetic stocks.
My question, will gun oil like Remoil or Hoppes #9 oil damage or weaken/degrade either material in any way?
I know this may seam like an odd question. But if nothing else, it will put my mind at ease knowing for sure.
