Ohio FFL

I am looking at opening an indoor pistol range in the Wooster Ohio area. I was just wondering how hard it would be to get an FFL in Ohio.

FFL is a federal license. It is just as hard to get in all States.

Not hard, check your zoning first and get your business tax stuff strait.

You don't need an FFL for a range unless you're selling guns. I don't know about renting guns for use on your range as the customer would not be allowed to take them off your property. You probably need to put the range outside the city limits as many cities will be reluctant to issue a business license to a gun range.

Shooters in Maumee opened up last year, in the city. They seem to be friendly folks, so maybe you could call and talk with them, or stop up on a trip.
I doubt they would consider you infringing on their territory, so should offer you some tips on how to get it done.
