An off-duty Staten Island cop was arrested for allegedly raping a 16-year-old acquaintance.
Officer Ciollo was cuffed Wednesday in Staten Island and hit with a slew of felonies after he allegedly performed sex acts with the teen on July 4 police sources said. Ciollo allegedly gave the victim alcohol before showing her porn on a computer, police sources said. He then kissed the victim and sexually assaulted her before the two fell asleep.

Aww....isn't that cute though? We got a pedophile cop who likes to cuddle with his drunk victims, and then a thin-blue-line'er who has more outrage for the member who exposes the pedophile to our little group than for the pedophile himself. If they lived in the same state, he'd probably cuddle with the pedophile too, as long as he wore his paramilitary gear that is.

Hardly a troll. If the "code of silence" amongst cops wasn't real, there wouldn't be a name for it. Cops snitching on corrupt cops is as rare as in any other gang in America.

A lot of them are afraid of them, since taking any action against them will result in retaliation by the group.

If the "code of silence" amongst cops wasn't real, a court in Chicago wouldn't have made a legal determination that it exists, and found for the barmaid whom Officer Anthony Abbate attempted to stomp to death.
 
The thing I love about this forum is all the self-proclaimed know-it-alls.

On the internet you can be whoever you want to be. Many people take advantage of that to talk about the modern day law enforcement world like they are cops, or they study them for a living. 90% of what's posted on these threads is either emotional reactions to biased news stories, or the know-it-alls proclaiming to be experts on how the modern day police function and what needs to change. I just hope nobody is dumb enough to actually consider 90% of what is posted here.

And clearly, if there is a name for something, it must be true... If there is a saying for a "code of silence" amongst police, it must be as real as ghosts, or the headless horseman. They have names too.

The statement about there being a name for it wasn't in relation to paranormal apparitions, it was in relation to real groups with real names that impose real consequences on their real members who tell the real truth about their cohorts' real criminality. What is the real difference between the indifference by members to crime among their common ranks of the following groups: Aryan Brotherhood, Crips, Bloods, MS13, Mafia, Yakuza, Hell's Angels, Mongols and, in general, cops?

And still not a word of sympathy for the victim of a pedophile disguised as a cop, nor a word of condemnation for the pedophile cop. Just condemnation for those who deign to talk about criminals with badges. That's called indifference to criminal cops, and that's all I said before that I was called a troll for saying. Keep showing indifference to criminal cops, and I'll keep pointing it out. That's not me being a troll, it's me recognizing and stating the truth out loud. Your jack-booted propensities will never stop me from doing that.
