Utah/Arizona/Iowa Concealed Firearms Permit Course

Place: Ames Izaak Walton League Chapterhouse in Ames, IA
I’m offering a 4-hour concealed firearms permit course that fulfills the training requirements for the Utah, Arizona and Iowa carry permits. After taking this class and obtaining the permits, you will be able to legally carry in 37 states, including Minnesota. The class is tailored for individuals who already know how to safely operate a firearm. Course topics include the following:
-Legal aspects of self-defense shootings
-Tactics during a gunfight
-What to do after a self-defense shooting
-The psychological and emotional impact of using deadly force
Students will also participate in role-playing scenarios using dummy guns; each scenario is based on a real-life defensive situation and will provide an opportunity to apply the practical and legal principles discussed in class.
