OC in the heat of summer

I would like to know what everyone thinks about OC in summer,when its kinda hard to conceal a weapon with a jacket or wind breaker. I carry concealed but have gain some pound thru the yrs and carrying in the waist is harder theses days. I also don't want to use a ankle holster.

What do you prefer in summer. I'm in Middle Tenn. Thanks and hope there isn't a thread in regards to this if there is sorry I didn't find it. By the way first time post here and love the site.

I prefer open carry in both the summer and the winter. I also have my CPL, so I just don't have to worry about whether my gun shows or not.

So do you carry in your pocket or open carry. I don't want to open carry. I wear levis most of the time and the pockets are to tight to carry in the pocket.

Couple of ideas that might help you out.

2. Buy bigger pants

Then I guess you will have to adjust your life/clothes around hiding your gun. Something I simply refuse to do. My gun goes as easily on my belt as my cell phone does in my other side pocket.

Open carry proudly that's what I do. I like my pants and belts fitting properly.

What's making you hesitant?

Maybe being informed of real world events, personal stories, and statistics, you will be better prepared for which ever you decide.

Pocket carry, either right front or back pocket depending on the type of pant with a Talon pocket holster.

I'm 6' 200 and growing, I carry no differently in the summer v/s winter. OWB in a Bianchi carrylok, shorts and t shirt and don't care if I print. I make an honest effort to carry concealed but if it shows because of wind or bending over, so what. Check your local laws and find out what "concealed" means. I think if you make an honest effort then you should be good.

Cargo pants are marvelous things, I carry my TCP in my right cargo shorts pocket during the summer.

I open carry in the summer I find it to feel better if I sweat cause it wont be rubbing all over the holster.

I live in Tn you can OC or CC. I just prefer to have it that way. Thanks I'm going out to get a Biachi carrylok. I never tuck my shirts in. Thanks for the great advice.

I like a vest. I have seen others that do well with a tall (longer tail) short sleeve over shirt. This can be left unbuttoned. A patterned print shows less than a plain color. Hawaiian shirts work for this kind of cover if they fit your style. The Cuban shirts serve well also. If you prefer to OC, and it is legal, go for it. I tried a few different arrangements before I settled on the one I use now. I may try something different in the future.
