Open Carry:
Generally limited to legitimate, firearms-related activity.

(18)
Nothing in this section shall be construed to require or allow the registration, documentation or providing of serial numbers with regard to any firearm. Further, nothing in this section shall be construed to allow the open and unconcealed carrying of any deadly weapon as described in Section 97-37-1, Mississippi Code of1972.

So, OC is not legal in MS?

But if I carry in my OWB holster with my shirt tucked, this technically is CC?

Well the law here in MS isnt well defined. The AG office has said if a firearm is not concealed in whole or in part it is not in violation of state law. Some of the state supreme court once said that even a handgun in a holster is "concealed in part" because part of the handgun is concealed. So if you do OC some cops will try to get you with CC so get a permit. So get a permit and you SHOULD be ok. I say should because not all people like OC. I am planning on doing some OC when i get my permit.
