Obama to Coal Country: I will bankrupt you

As the election draws to a close, a fierce battle is being fought in swing states such as Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Colorado. Obama is traveling around promising the moon, and no one is questioning him on what his policies will actually do. He promises a tax cut for 95% of Americans. They think it sounds great, but don't realize that the promise is completely false. He promises cuts in spending, but has never mentioned programs that he'd actually cut.

Obama has never run an organization, a business, or a state, yet he wants to run the country. He is not driven by the entrepreneurial spirit that has built America, but rather by a socialist agenda that seeks to make America less free and more reliant on government. In particular, a radio interview with Obama has surfaced which shows just how out of touch he is with the people and communities (many in swing states such as Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia and Colorado) who rely on the coal industry for jobs and energy. As Obama said in interviews not covered by the media, he seeks to "bankrupt" the coal industry and put together policies that will make electricity prices "skyrocket."

In a radio interview on January 17, 2008 with the San Francisco Chronicle, Sen. Obama described his energy plan, saying "So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can; it's just that it will bankrupt them because they're going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that's being emitted." You can listen to it here:

In another clip from the same interview, Obama goes even further, stating, "Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket."

So... in these tough economic times, Obama not only wants to force coal workers to lose their jobs, but he wants energy prices to skyrocket for all Americans. So much for so-called middle-class tax relief... it will all go to paying the family electricity bill! But then again, Obama will simply tax the "rich" even more, and give away more money to others. Of course, this will mean that the so-called "rich" guy won't be able to hire the extra worker or will have to raise prices on the goods he sells. It's basic economics that socialist Obama simply doesn't understand.

The McCain-Palin campaign is fighting back, and trying to get the message to the American public on what Obama is all about. Gov. Palin focused on Obama's message to "coal country" and also noted that the interview was just now surfacing... so much for the investigative powers of the main stream media.

Please help spread the word in these states and beyond. Obama is bad for America. We don't need higher taxes; we don't need bigger government; and we certainly don't need a president who doesn't understand the basic energy needs and supplies of America.

Yep, I live in coal country (yes, Utah produces coal, too). There's already been rumors that there will likely be layoffs at one of the mines if Obama is elected. Our whole county runs on the coal industry and something like this plan would sure not be helping the poor and middle class around here! Guess that's one way to encourage our laid off folks to go to the government for help . . .

I always thought the 95% that Obama said won't have their taxes raised are the current non-taxpayers, plus those who will become unemployed due to his tax plans.
