Obama 2nd term "abolish gun rights"

Timothy...I agree and had the same thought when reading the article.
However, two things really have convinced me that Obama is dangerous to those of us who believe in the right to bear arms...
1. In May 2011, Obama told the Brady Bunch that he was working "under the radar" to enact gun-control. Here's the link: Obama: We’re working on gun control “under the radar” « Hot Air
2. Obama has furthered my impression that he is so arrogant to believe that he can attack constitutional rights by executive order. Case in point: His attack on the freedom of religion via his executive order related to birth control last week. Regardless of one's opinion on the particular issue, the bottom line is that he has no respect for the constitution.
BTW: I voted for Obama...once.
While Wayne LaPierre is obviously biased in his words, I've come to believe that Obama will indeed stop at nothing to remove guns from law-abiding citizens.

The way the Republican candidates are attacking women's choice and the LGBT community is what I have a problem with. President Obama changed the way he originally mandated birth control to respect religion. I have not heard the Republican candidates change theirs.

Obama doesn't have to destroy the 2A. He has surrounded himself with people that will do it for him. All they need is a bill with that attached and hidden. It will not be mentioned by the press or anyone else. Will be another one of those that we have to pass to read what is in it. It will be a bill that has a bunch of touchy feely things in it. If someone speaks out against it, they will be slammed by the liberals as they always do when social programs are talk about. Plays great in the press every time. The sheeple will run to the aid of the liberals. The conservatives will tuck their tails in shame. The president will be a hero because he cares so much.

anyway. I don't think we really need current proof that Obama and the liberal agenda want to limit 2A right as much as possible. More proof of course is always better even if this link is only someones opinion and not proof as others are saying
Its not like the liberal agenda has seen the light and backed off this topic. They just choose/attempt to keep their agenda on this topic behind closed doors/out of the spotlight so they can sneak things past the general populace.

Obama may want to abolish all gun rights.....I bet he also wants his wife to look like Halle Barry, but that doesn't mean it's going to happen any time soon.
1. Support on Capitol Hill for such measures is limited to a small (albeit vocal) group of senators and representatives. Shouting the loudest isn't going to get them any more votes in congress.
2. 90% of the lawmakers who supported such measuers would be voted out of office come their next election, and they know it. They value their political hides more than they do a vote against guns. This leads me to my next point......
3. Even if our worst fears did come true (highly unlikely), such measures would have a very short shelf-life. The people who instituted these draconian anti-gun laws would soon be returned to the status of private citizens, replaced by more gun-friendly lawmakers.
Your local and state lawmakers are far more of a threat to your gun rights than any federal body.
I appreciate the NRA's efforts to make sure BO and his cronies don't get a 2nd chance, but LaPierre and Co. are playing the old political game of creating the biggest monster they possibly can in order to present themselves as the saviors. Real monsters or imaginary ones, I still support the NRA's goals. They don't need to be fear and panicmongers to get my support.

Some of the debate is focused on whether the NRA is really fighting for our rights (2nd Amendment). IMHO the NRA is much closer to my views than Mr. Barack Hussein Obama. I have seen the actions of both, the President, and the NRA. Obama has already started his, take away our 2nd Amendment, plan. Sotamayor and Kagan are the facts. Read their past rulings or writings, and the facts on how either will rule, should be quite clear. Those two Justices, with their anti 2nd Amendment views, will be with us long after (god forbid) Obama finishes his second term. IMHO Obama must be made a 1 termer, before he can appoint one more Supreme Court Justice that feel the Constitution is wrong. We already (IMO) have 4 of them.
