NYS Sheriff's respond to SAFE..

The NYS Sheriff's Association has offered a formal response to the Governor regarding the new SAFE Act...I think they have presented their position in a very responsible way. They have highlighted the problems with the law and the process by which it was created...some will not like their support for background checks...but, they point out that this would probably only work for law abiding citizens any way. Hopefully Albany will heed their input and revise this legislation.

Thank God there are ethical people in New York and not surprisingly they are law enforcement.

just a back door way to register guns and gun owners the lawful ones anyways won't do a thing to stop criminals from getting guns or using them offensively violently......
