can anyone confirm or deny this article?
GLENN BECK usually does pretty decent due dilligence.

Reason 1,429,237 not to live in New York City. But, what they try to get away with in NYC is going to spread wherever any of Bloomberg's MAIG group is in office.

Here's the deal. IF you choose to live in NYC, and IF you choose to have a rifle/shotgun out of compliance, then I would go to the gun smith, have them modify the magazine to only hold 5. I then would show the authorities that it only holds five and it would be over. For the tubed .22, I'd have the gun smith put in a metal plug that screws into the top of the tube.

Then at home I'd put the 30 rd mag back into my AR and unscrew the plug out of the .22.

However, why anyone would agree to the first IF is beyond me.

The question I have, is the NYPD going to abide by the same rules as all the citizenry or are they going to be considered an ELITE class citizenry? More friggin' BS coming from NY.

Um. This is an AR7, it's a survival .22. It will not accept 30 round .223 mags.
And did you ever look at the loading port on that tube mag .22? It's on the muzzle end so that solution just won't work.

And then you insult all who have chosen to live in NYC?

.

The other white elephant in the room is a mighty big "IF". Text from the letter :

"IF you are granted the option of seeking a permanent modification ......"

.

So, no grandfather clause? Seems like NYC got in a big hurry to make history again. Tough gun laws have been proven ineffective. Someone in NYC needs to pull their heads out of their rear ends, wake up and smell the coffee because what theyve been sniffin so far isnt working.
My question is, why does NY and NYC keep electing these know nothing retards?
Like Nightmare 45 said, Id be sending a letter back with a not so polite "go F yourself"

At what point will the oath that NYC cops took, you know the one, to defend and uphold the Constitution, trump a radical mayor's orders? Or will they "just follow orders", as did Hitler's goose-stepping goons?

It has been mentioned on here in many other post about cops taking an oath to defend the Constitution. My dad was a cop a little over 45 years ago and I asked him if he ever took the oath but that was so long ago and his mind is not what it used to be (nearing 80 years of age), but he says he doesn't remember doing it or having to do so. It seems that cops nowadays take an oath to destroy the Constitution and are doing so every chance they get. Is this a recent event or have cops always sworn to uphold the Constitution? If they all have taken the oath then most are doing a terrible job and could use a refresher course on the rights of citizens.

I thought I had read somewhere before that it was actually illegal to pass a law banning something and then attempt confiscation in the United States. I thought all they could do was ban the production or import of any new items.

Yes, NYC cops take an oath - here it is: "(with right hand raised) I do hereby pledge and declare to uphold the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State on New York, and faithfully discharge my duties as a New York City police officer to the best of my ability, so help me God."

Hopefully they're all familiar with the "shall not infringe" part of the 2A, and we can only wonder at what point they, as individuals, will think on their own and say an order is infringing and refuse to follow it even though their superiors are telling them it was cleared by higher-ups. They'll probably buy into the notion that limiting firearms to 5 round rounds is not infringing, in a few years maybe they'll be ordered to buy into the notion that limiting law abiding citizens to single shot firearms is not infringing, followed by only permitting flintlock weapons. I'm thinking their taking an oath is pointless, because they'll all do whatever their higher-ups tell them to do. Paychecks trump oaths, paychecks trump the Constitution. Paychecks trump integrity. For some.

It's called, I think... Post exfacto.
Spelling is definitely wrong but I believe that is the law(?) you speak of.

I have offered to "shelter" any and all weapons that my cousin wants to move over to Vermont from New York.
He and all the rest of you are welcome to drop off your "high capacity stuff" and those "scary AR's" and I'll keep them safe for you!

I believe, from recent thread posts, the People also "just follow orders" Constitution be damned. If cops have a problem, they should just do what their told and then write a letter to their chief...I'm sure it will work because our justice system is perfect.

In addition to 2A rights, there are those thorny 5A rights that are meant to prohibit government confiscation of property without just compensation. Bloomberg was serious when he said "our interpretation of the Constitution, I think, have to change".

Too many good people died for the Constitution Bloomberg has contempt for.

You want my extra bullets I will be happy to give them to you. Read the constitution and show me where you want them delivered, they will be sent high speed, somewhere around 950fps.
