I ordered an archangel stock kit for a remington 597, I'm worried it's not going to ship because it comes with a 6 position stock which I am going to have pinned when it comes in, and not sure if the bayonet that I don't want it comes with is legal in ny ? If it doesn't should i have it shipped to a ffl ? Will they even be able to recieve it if it doesn't its a very nice kit converting the rifle into a nice ar type .22

I'm not familiar with that model remington. Remington is American made so you don't have to worry about 922R. You can have 2 'evil features' such as a high cap mag, bayonet, flash suppressor, collapsible stock or front or rear pistol grip. Anymore than 2 of those and its considered an illegal assault weapon.

Best bet is to have it shipped to an FFLl Dealer. Some of the small Variables that cause Manufactures not to ship to Private Citizens. Does not effect licensed Dealers.

Especially the Bayonet! Good Luck Sounds like a nice little Conversion Kit.

Just becuase it comes with a bayonet, doesn't mean you have to put it on. However, if it has a bayonet mount, the ability to accept a detachable magazine, the protruding pistol grip and the telescoping stock these are features that would classify this as an assualt weapon. In general if it has an ability to accept a detachable magazine, any other two features make it an illegal assualt weapon if possessed after 1994. Those possessed prior are grandfathered in. Here is a link: NYS Gun Laws | NY Firearms - New York Firearm & Gun Ownership, Laws, Politics, Weapons | NY Firearms I would also suggest you contact authorities to verify.

You forgot to add," and if for any reason the gun is black and/or looks scary or makes a liberal hoplophobe shake with fear at the mere sight of it, it is illegal in NY."
being facetious, but not much unfortunately.

The only good thing about the NY Black Rifle Laws is; there has never been a case of someone being bayoneted during a robbery by a bad guy using a black rifle with a pistol grip and collapsible stock while loaded with a large capacity mag. So, I guess it could be argued by the anti gunners that the law works. You just can't fix stupid.

It comes with a pistol grip, the rifles not set up for the bayonet it comes with the lug, I imagine a gunsmith would have to install it, and I know for sure the collapsable stock is a no no I guess I feel like cause its just parts and not on the rifle yet I should be ok ? I definitly plan on having it completely legal and already called and can have the stock pinned in position for 15$ at my local gun store
