NY Governor Signs Nation's Strictest Gun Controls

Got Beretta's?
Beware of Governor Cuomo's State of the State Address this coming Wednesday.
Is History about to repeat in New York This governor also wanted to run for President, just like Andrew does.

At a place best known as a scene of random, irrational violence, Gov. George E. Pataki today signed into law the strictest gun controls in the country.

The governor presided over an emotional ceremony at the Merillon Avenue train station, a few yards from where Colin Ferguson fatally shot six people aboard a Long Island Rail Road train almost seven years ago. A crowd of gun control advocates, state legislators of both parties and people who have lost spouses or children to gun violence cheered as Mr. Pataki put his signature on a bill that many of them said they never expected to see enacted.

Alfredo Valentin has campaigned for gun controls since his son and a friend were shot to death in the Bronx six years ago. His voice choking, he said, ''Maybe, maybe today I have meaning.''

Mr. Pataki said of the new law, ''We hope this serves as a national model. We hope other states follow.''

Good old Governor Pataki, gone but not forgiven. Gov. Cuomo will undoubtedly trot out all the failed gun control policies that his New York city base can dream up.

All the lawmakers can make all the gun control laws they want but that will not stop criminals from getting and using them. Drugs are illegal with tough laws so what will stricter laws on gun control do? Nothing, as long as there are criminals or mentally estranged individuals that have access to guns, there will always be guns in the wrong hands. It just makes us law abiding citizens have to go through hopes to get guns to hunt, and protect ourselves. It is not the guns that kill people, it is the people behind the guns that kill people. I saw on another website last week that someone put there AR-15 pointed out their front door loaded, with the door open and no one got hurt. The AR-15 did not move or shoot by itself so no one got hurt.

What did Cuomo say yesterday.

We want other states to follow our progressiveness?
We want other states to follow our AWB!
blah blah blag

What a douche.

He must have spent hours practicing his "emotional" shouting. The only time he raised his voice was to rant about gun control. Be sure to look at the proposed bill, S805-2013, registering ALL guns with your county clerk, getting a photo id card, and all this for an annual fee yet to be discussed. I'd start thinking this was all about revenue, but I forgot, we want to be the leaders in "progressiveness." If this passes, in the 120 day period before it takes effect, my son in a neighboring state will be "inheriting" a few new items.

The speech that Cuomo made yesterday was "scary" to say the least..his reference to owning a shotgun was ridiculous. When will these politicians understand that the 2nd amendment is not about duck hunting!!

No guns in IL, murder capital, NY must want to regain first place.
And they certainly will. Blatant stupidity. Shameful opportunism. They know new laws won't work. The people of NYC and all major cities with sky-high crime must be blissfully ignorant about how the real, criminally infested cities really work.

The thought of us feeble, tiny, insignificant slaves having a right to defend ourselves from their moronic laws is so far from their version of reality...they think of themselves as gods. This nation will be split down the Mississippi, with California in ruins!
