Armed and able to engage. OR unarmed and willing to be slaughtered. THE CHOICE is yours............
Presumably, every single regular on this site is armed and
able to engage, but that's not the question. At what point in this country's devolution into tyranny will every single regular on this site be
willing to engage? Soldiers shooting down our own citizens at Kent State wasn't the point. Widespread gun confiscations in NOLA after Katrina wasn't the point. Warrantless wiretaps, indefinite detentions on nothing more than an illegal alien President's whim, even the first AWB, none of them were/are the point at which people stop talking and start
doing. Waco or Ruby Ridge weren't the points. I mean, the violence perpetrated by government on the citizens of this so-called "free" country is virtually endless, and still the only solutions we seek are to write and phone the government! What's wrong with this picture? The Pilgrims landed on this continent in the early 1600s. It was another 150 years before that blossomed into a free country. Is there a semblance of a doubt that this country is no longer free? If there is, go ahead and live on that doubt until the modern equivalent of General Charlemagne starts burning your communities. But if you already know that tyranny is here, why would you write and phone the tyrants to employ only words to win back your freedom? I ain't got another 150 years. Do you? 'Cause if you don't, it's gonna take a helluva lot more than words to git 'r done, and it's gonna take personal relationships and men marching shoulder-to-shoulder in resolute advance on the tyrants saying, "Here is where we draw the line! Not one more usurpation will we
allow you to foist upon us!"
Faceless, nameless lobbyists of the NRA working within the system that has already stolen your freedoms out from under you, ain't gonna accomplish a damn thing. Slaves who ask their masters to set them free never get free. Only those willing to win it can accomplish that. I'm done asking DC hacks to please, oh please massa, will you gives me mine's freedom? That's the most the NRA will ever do for you. The NRA is no less about gun control than Diane Feinstein herself is. Don't believe me? Back in '68, not only were their officers as out-front as they could be about their support for gun control, they followed up on the Vice President's unequivocal declarations in that regard in the next issue of American Rifleman after he said it:
America's largest gun control organization
On Jan. 16, 1968, in an address to the New York State University law school in Buffalo, Sen. Robert Kennedy, D-N.Y., stated: "I think it is a terrible indictment of the National Rifle Association that they haven’t supported any legislation to try and control the misuse of rifles and pistols in this country."
NRA Executive Vice President Franklin L. Orth took great umbrage at this remark in the October 1968 issue of the NRA’s magazine, The American Rifleman, terming Sen. Kennedy’s accusation "a great smear of a great American organization." Mr. Orth then went on to point out, "The National Rifle Association has been in support of workable, enforceable gun control legislation since its very inception in 1871."
In that 1968 issue of The American Rifleman, associate editor Alan C. Webber picked up the defense of the NRA’s gun-control credentials. I quote again from the NRA’s own, official organ:
"Item: The late Karl T. Frederick, an NRA president, served for years as special consultant with the Commissioners on Uniform State Laws to frame the Uniform Firearms Act of 1930. ... Salient provisions of the Act require a license to carry a pistol concealed on one’s person or in a vehicle; require the purchaser of a pistol to give information about himself which is submitted by the seller to the local police authorities; specify a 48-hour time lapse between application for purchase and delivery."
THIS is the organization that is going to save and preserve our rights?
WAKE UP!!! NO organization that depends on a working relationship with DC tyrants will ever serve The People's interests. They can't. The only "organization" that can serve The People's interests is to organize The People against the tyrants! A massive
armed march on DC, not an assault, but a peaceful march while simply carrying our arms in defiance of DC's disarmament "laws" would go a damn long ways towards transmitting our feeeeelings about being enslaved by
all the usurpations they have committed, not just the ones pertaining to the 2nd Amendment.
Or send your $25 bucks, write your state-elected tyrants, and then sit and wait by the door for either the mailman to bring you a letter from your state-elected tyrants saying sorry, we don't have enough of a majority to protect your rights right now, or the sound of your door being busted down by a battering ram as the completely militarized police come to take your guns, and you with 'em if you choose to resist.
Massa ain't never gonna give you your freedom for the asking. You're gonna have to win it back.
