I am just wondering if anyone else is experiencing unusual wait times for their NRA membership packages. I submitted my CCW application in Tallahassee on Jan 17th, submitted payment to NRA on the 22nd. I have received my permit, ordered and received ammo online during an ammo crisis and still haven't received my membership package. I am not mad at their(NRA) wait time, I just needed to vent a little but still would like to hear if anyone else is going through this.

As an NRA Recruiter and Life member. They are experiencing HIGH join rate due to the legislation. Be patient and if you need to, give them a call.
 
They tell you initially that it takes about 2 weeks but I waited almost 2 months for my membership card. I did receive a cap in about a month. When i called about it, i was told that they had an excessive amount of memberships since the attack on the 2nd amendment. I waited to talk to a rep for almost 20 minutes before giving up. I did receive all member benefits in due time though.
 
The last I heard they have increased membership by over half a million since the first of the year. That was a while back so it could be way more than that now. I'd say cut them some slack.

NRA is having a sale on life memberships till the end of February for $300 rather than the normal $1000. The increase in membership does not count the number that upgraded their memberships.

I sent in my Louisiana CCW application packet on Dec. 11th, and paid for my NRA membership online on Jan. 31st. Just got my NRA membership card and window stickers a couple days ago, no hat yet, and no permit either, but my patience remains virtuous.

Last I heard NRA was receiving 3000 applications a day. Any organization would get bogged down with that many applicants. Have patience. It's well worth the wait.
 
I received my magazine Saturday but nothing else. Please don't get me wrong anybody I am not upset or anything. I understand they are bogged down and I am happy they are. I was simply asking if anyone else was experiencing it also. I am glad to see half a million people are standing up.
 
I joined Jan 7th and got my card, pin, patch and stickers on Jan 19th. I got my first magazine Feb 22. You have your membership # on your magazine that you can log in to NRA member services and get signed up for the insurance. Link Removed

There are a lot of people joining up so it is only usual it will take longer for them to send out all the membership packages

Just an update: I called yesterday (Monday) about my CCW, it was approved last Friday, was getting printed Monday and should be here by the end of the week. As for the NRA, I've received two or three issues of the magazine, but no Hat or Gym Bag as of yet. Just more stuff really, so no big issue waiting for swag.

I'm up for renewal this month, but long waits is a GOOD thing in this case! I haven't heard an update on the new signups in a while but it was redic the last numbers I heard.
 
I have been a life member for about 25 years. I decided to upgrade to the next level for months now.. I hate doing business over the internet but I can not get through to membership on the phone. I refuse to remain on hold for longer than 30 mins, get angry, and give up. But I am encouraged by the fact that they have taken close to 1 million new memberships. At least gun owners seem to be waking up.
 
Have been an annual member forever just upgraded to Life at National Convention in Houston, excellent National convention.

I upgraded to life membership on 2/7/13 and so far have received nothing! Called the NRA 2 weeks to tell them I didn't get my new card and still haven't received anything.
