I'm guessing they're pretty busy processing 100,000 plus members, but here are a couple of ways to contact them: You can contact the NRA via phone at:

You can contact the NRA via email at:

Hi Itch,

Just to let you know that it took them about 10 days to approve my membership and then a few more days before I could access the membership side of the site. I've heard rumor that they've been receiving circa 8,000 new members a day and are just swamped. They did follow up with an email to me and apologized for the (understandable) delay. I'd suggest just being patient.

I sent payment on 1/11/2013 and from this forum.

I am happy to hear that. I hope you are patient because hundreds of thousands are signing up now. It would strain any administrative office to handle such a sudden influx so be patient. Welcome aboard to the prime pro second amendment supporter in the world. I am a benefactor. Been a member over 55 years.

The battle lines have been drawn in the Hell that is the state of New York. With that in mind, a generous donation to the NRA-ILA has just been posted in this morning's mail, dedicated in your honor, with my respect & gratitude for your personal efforts in championing our 2nd Amendment Rights over your lifetime. America is a better place because of men like you. The fight we face here in NY state is not over,--- we are just busy reloading.

Just a follow up on NRA membership wait time. My application went in 12/8/12. Confirmation email for approval received 1/2/13, received card and packet in mail today 1/18/2013. Looks like about 5-6 weeks (probably a few delays with Christmas and New Years).

A note for all the folks waiting.

Seems like everything gun related is back logged. Here in Indiana the carry permit return time was 8-10 days before the election and now after everything they say it's about 17 weeks. Took mine almost 2 months. In a situation like this wait times for such things are good because it means the people are coming together... except the wait for ammo and such... that just blows.

Oneida County NY - center of upstate NY - prior to December, pistol permits were taking about a YEAR - since early December applications in Oneida county have tripled or quadrupled. No telling what the wait will be now. If the yput through all the changes our insane Governor & legislature passed, the pistol permit office in our county says they will need 20 full time emplyees just to keep up. (They have 1 full time & two part time employees now.)
New York state applicants should expect a really long wait. 17 weeks or a couple months is LIGHTNING SPEED - be thankful.

I was told it's taking 6 weeks to process the applications. Don't let that stop you. We need as many sign ups as possible to continue this battle.
