The National Rifle Association is pushing its proposal for an armed officer in every school in the country with a new ad that calls President Obama an "elitist hypocrite" for his daughters' security detail.

The 35-second ad, released Tuesday on the NRA's Website, criticizes Obama for saying he is "skeptical" that armed security is the solution to school violence.

"Are the president's kids more important than yours?" the ad asks.

NRA chief Wayne LaPierre introduced the gun rights group's proposal to add armed officers to schools in his high-profile news conference in the wake of the elementary school massacre in Newtown, Conn., that left 20 first-graders dead. Stricter gun laws aren't the answer, LaPierre said.

That's just more of the same rhetoric... over and over... nothing said will get anything done to end the tyranny of o'nutjob. I think we're wasting our breath on him or our legislators.

The rhetoric is to get as many citizens on our side as possible, not government. Should we just stop trying to change the minds of the people and go right to civil war? Obviously this government isn't likely to surrender and will stop at nothing to achieve their goals. Progressives would not hesitate to kill millions and have done it before in other countries (China, Russia, Cuba, etc.).

Politians are nothing but dishonest and dishonorable political whores. They do pay attention to voters because they want to keep their jobs. They have a cushy job with a big salary, great retirement benefits, and all the money they can steal. We need to change the minds of voters and learn to manipulate the system and people the way progressives have done. Low information voters need to be educated- difficult but not impossible. I have heard a large number of people even at gun shows who said Obama is a great president and will never go after our guns. He didn't advocate any gun control in his first term. I have heard similar stupidity on this forum. These people will eventually wake up to the nighmare to which they have contributed.
