Now we have Bobcats

I came in from deer hunting yesterday around 4:00PM and had a missed call from my neighbor on the adjoining farm. He raises game birds and when I called him back he said, " you need to come over and see what I caught in my live trap.

Not many years ago the only predator we had here in Eastern Ohio at the Debray sheep farm was fox, then came along Coyotes, Black bears, and now Bobcats, I can't wait to see my first Wolf.

The game protector was on his way to pick up the bobcat and relocate him away from the game birds, I expect he will be back in a week or two.

Pretty cool. Bobcat populations are on the rise nationally. They're back in lower NYS. Here's a good article from the NY DEC (Link Removed). Most people will never have the opportunity to see one as they're very elusive. We also just had a moose hit by a car about 30 miles north of nyc (Link Removed).
