Northern Border Agent Pulls Gun on Boy Scouts Detained For Taking Photos As Southern Border Collapses

Agent points gun at boy scout's head after detaining scouts for taking photo of border official

I can see why they don't want people taking pictures of them not doing their jobs, but really? Boy Scouts? And it's NOT illegal for them to take pictures of them. Nor do I see anywhere that the agent was arrested or detained. Why is that?
If anyone want to know if our country is heading in the right direction....it's not.

Yup, no question about it.

Here Are Just A "Few" Reasons Why We're Not Coming Back.

Since 1973, we have murdered our babies in their mothers' wombs at the rate of 4,000 a day, totaling nearly 60 million, and their blood cries out for vengeance.

We consume more than one-half of all the illegal drugs produced in the world, yet we constitute only 5% of the world's population.

We spend $2.8 billion dollars per year on Internet pornography, which is more than half the world total of $4.9 billion.

Our rate of cohabiting partners has increased tenfold since 1960, totaling over 12 million unmarried partners today.

Our divorce rate is the highest of any nation in the world.

Forty percent of our children are born to unmarried women.

We spend over $100 billion per year on gambling.

Our number one drug problem is alcohol, producing over 17.6 million adults who are alcoholics or who have alcohol problems.

Our nation has become a debt junkie, leading the world in both government debt and personal debt.

Blasphemy of God's name, His Word, and His Son has become commonplace in our media.

We are the moral polluter of planet earth through the distribution of our immoral, violent and blasphemous television programs and movies.

We have forsaken the nation of Israel, demanding that they surrender their heartland and divide their capital city.

We have become a nation that calls good evil and evil good.

Our schools have become arenas of deadly violence.

Our prison population is increasing exponentially, from 500,000 in 1980 to over 2.5 million today. Over 7.2 million of our people are under some form of correctional supervision.

Over 1.5 million of our women are reported victims of domestic violence each year, and it is estimated that the majority of cases are never reported.

We are currently averaging over 3 million child abuse cases each year, involving 6 million children.

We experience more than 12 million crimes every year, more than any other nation in the world.

Teen violence has increased exponentially, with youngsters killing each other over tennis shoes.

Gangs are terrorizing our cities.

Even the nicest of our neighborhoods are no longer safe, requiring us to protect our homes with security systems and weapons.

Our money is becoming increasingly worthless.

Our economy is being choked to death by a pile of debt that is beyond comprehension.

Our major corporations and labor unions are in bondage to greed.

Our society has become deeply divided, splintered among competing groups defined by racial, religious and economic factors.

Our families are being destroyed by an epidemic of divorce.

Our entertainment industry consists of vulgarians amusing barbarians.

Our universities and media outlets are controlled by radical leftists who hold God in contempt.

Our federal government has become top-heavy with bureaucrats who are insensitive to taxpayers.

Our politicians have become more concerned with power than service.

All levels of government have become increasingly oppressive, seeking to regulate every aspect of our lives.

Taxation has become confiscatory in nature.

Our legal system has been hijacked by activists who desire to impose their will on the people, regardless of what the people desire.

Our freedom of speech is being threatened by "hate crime" legislation.

Our society has become star-stuck, more interested in celebrities than people of integrity.

Our churches are caught up in an epidemic of apostasy as they set aside the Word of God in an effort to cozy up to the world and gain its approval.

We are experiencing one major natural disaster after another in unprecedented volume and ferocity.

We have become afflicted with a plague of sexual perversion, producing an army of hard core militant homosexuals.

In summary, we are a people who have become desensitized to sin, and in the process, we have forgotten how to blush.

Email I sent to Mr. Vonderheid at c:[email protected] :

Mr. Vonderheid,

My interest was piqued when I read your statement in the following news story:

http://www.kcci.com/news/officer-points-gun-at-boy-scout-at-canadian-border/27078396#!bkn8Pd

The quote that I am referring to is:

Charles Vonderheid with the Mid-Iowa Council Boy Scouts of America said Troop 11 learned a valuable lesson.
“We want to make sure they follow the rules. A Scout is a good citizen. It would be a great lesson in civics for that young man and that troop,” he said.

I am very interested to know what valuable lesson that you believe the Boy Scouts learned from this incident? It almost sounds as if you think it was a valuable lesson for the boys to learn that it is perfectly acceptable for law enforcement officials to threaten unarmed citizens with a deadly weapon for the mere act of taking a photograph. Would that sum up your opinion, or did I read that wrong in the context in which it was printed?

Thank you for your time and any clarification that you might offer,
Very Respectfully,
John H...

A search? For what? Knives that had too long a blade? Improper knots tied to resemble a hangmans noose? I believe we are going to be hearing about more and more of these types of incidents as the National Guard is deployed along the border. We need them there, yes but we need them to be responsible at the same time.

Hell, these boys are pumped. Guess they want some action. Transfer them to the "scabies" ward at the southern border.

At least the Boy Scouts have leaders.

I would not call Vonderheid a leader. This is the response I got to my email:

John

First, thank you for your passion related to the safety of the youth in our program.

Second, As I told the reporter I was not aware of the incident and therefore could not comment on it, but I would be happy to talk about the great charter building program that Scouting is and how taking a trip like this is a great way to build character. I am sorry you were misled by the piece that aired. The safety of youth and the quality of program is our number one concern.

Finally, if you would like to discuss this further you can reach me on my cell at 515-802-8475.

Notice how every time a reporter quotes someone and they take heat for what they said all of a sudden it's the reporter's fault?

So are you going to call him?

I got this reply from his boss, Robert Hopper:

Mr. H....,

You have seen the news story concerning Troop 111’s recent trip to Alaska and an incident that occurred as they were crossing the border from Canada into that state. Unfortunately, the story has created significant misunderstanding as comments made by Charles Vonderheid, our council’s Director of Field Service were misrepresented. Indeed, every time I speak to a news reporter I wonder, “How will I be portrayed?”

I couldn’t agree more that the actions taken by Customs & Border Patrol, as described by Jim Fox, Troop 111’s Scoutmaster, were extreme. What harm was made by a Scout taking a photograph? It sure doesn’t seem like much.

A seconds long “sound bite” on the news can lead to misunderstanding – this one certainly did. Jim is to be congratulated for a great trip. In every way Troop 111’s Alaska adventure was a huge success and we’re glad they’re home.

I'm having a hard time understanding what either one of them are trying to say. It wasn't Troop 111's leader who said anything wrong (that I've heard), it was clearly the "seconds-long soundbite" by Vonderheid that supposedly "created significant misunderstanding" because again, supposedly, Vonderheid's words were "misrepresented."

Sorry if I seemed short in asking if you were going to call Vonderheid. I'm in the last couple weeks of a 12-week treatment for which the side-effects get more intense as the days drag by. I've been sick as a dog for the last three weeks. I really was just curious if you were going to call, and I'll add to that that I think you'd be a good candidate to do it. Much better than I could do right now, that's for sure. I'd really like to know what all this "misrepresentation" is about. Is he saying he made a comment about a specific incident to media before knowing any of the specifics of the incident? If so, he's a bigger idiot than the media "misrepresented" him to be!

If it were my son I would be on the phone with my lawyer first, then my congressman. I'd call the border patrol supervisor every day until that idiot was fired. That's absolute ********.

A Congressional Investigation would be the about the best/easiest route. All the boy scout parents and scout leaders involved need to write their congress representatives and ask them what the heck is going on that we have border patrol agents pointing guns at boy scouts for taking a photo that would be pretty normal for an uniformed tourist to take to document their trip. A lot of times we (the Navy) has to answer to some senator or representative why a Sailor was promised they would be an elecrician in the Navy by a recruiter and they ended up being a mechanic.

I disagree. There is quite literally NOTHING that a Federal employee can do to an innocent citizen these days which will cause him any permanent harm. They could have SHOT the kid and Holder's DoJ would drag their feet for YEARS, avoiding a real investigation at ALL cost. They didn't care what happened to a Border Patrol agent. You think they care about Boy Scouts?

The only thing these curs will understand is 1983 suits... or eventually worse.

It's a shame too. If this act was to go viral in the media then there would be action taken against this agent. (The masses wanting justice) Where as there seems to be NO PROTECTION for the citizen he individual, from a federal agent. Isn't this what we're supposed to be protected from? Isn't that what this country was founded on? The right of the individual verses the King and his men.
