Non-res permit holder wondering about out of state hi-cap mags and CT law.

Hey everyone,

I travel to CT for personal reasons and used to carry my M&P40 with 15rnd mags to CT until the law change. Since the new mag cap limit, I'm not sure if an out of state permit holder would need to declare their mags in CT if brought there temporarily. I tried to find a phone number to find this info on their public safety website but to no avail. Anyone have this number? I know I'd still only be able to legally load 10rds either way.

I'll probably end up just getting 10rd mags to avoid any paperwork.

Thanks!

Ct firearms/permits 860-685-8290 licensing 860-685-8160 fax 860-685-8496. to view firearms laws www.ct.gov/despp. on left side choose general statutes then click firearms laws guide. good luck.

Thanks guys. PJ, that is true from what I read but you need to "declare" them on a form. I'm not into "declaring" my property any more than I have to.
