Look around the house, and you’ll probably see lots of things that are plugged in that you can eliminate if the stuff ever hits the fan. This is part of the planning you’ll need to do now, so that you’ll be better prepared for times of trouble.
How about food? If you have a family of four, you’ll want to provide at least 2000 or so calories per adult, more if you’re a big guy,
btw - Costco has a sale through March 12 on a 30-day food supply. Any one every try this stuff? I'm familiar with mountain house products from years of backpacking, and while some of it can be eaten, some of it is down right disgusting.
Has any one actually eaten any of the Chefs Banquet products?

Invest in precious metals.....
Brass & Lead.
People lived completely on their own for years on the frontier
I look at it this way.
I set a goal, A time period, and plan for that.
Its my wife and me. We have Water, MRE's, LRPR, (Can Goods we change them yearly)
Sanitation, Generator/Gas ( I love my Generator-My power goes out monthly, 4 days is not unheard of)
CB radio's, protection. I can hunt out my back door, front door also.
We are pertty much covered for 3months. And if the U.S. FEMA can't get its $%^& together by then, The world, as we know it, is over.
How many people have been through SERE like you? You are one that will survive. And whoever you choose to be in company with. You will see a bunch of dying going on around you. Outlaws 'precious metals' should be a major concern of yours, you being the have and 90% of others being the have-nots.
