No-Duty-to-Retreat Legislation Passes Alaska’s
House Judiciary Committee

On Monday, February 14, the House Judiciary Committee passed House Bill 80 by a 4 to 1 vote. This legislation would remove the duty-to-retreat in Alaska. HB 80 now moves to the House Finance Committee.

Your NRA will continue to update you on the status of HB 80 as it progresses through the Alaska Legislature.

Last time I checked, Los Angelos, Chicago, The District of Columbia, NYC, and the entire state of New Jersey, were not located in Alaska.:laugh:

When was the last time you checked? And where did you do your checking? 'Cause it was horribly wrong. If I were you I'd get another reference source, one that doesn't have "paid for by [whoever]" at the bottom of the page.

Ignorance is bliss so I apologize for disrupting it for you:

ALASKA-Violent Crime Rate per 100,000 inhabitants - 633.0
CALIFORNIA-Violent Crime Rate per 100,000 inhabitants-472.0
NEW YORK-Violent Crime Rate per 100,000 inhabitants - 384.7
NEW JERSEY-Violent Crime Rate per 100,000 inhabitants - 311.5
