It was secure - on my hip, covered by my overshirt. My concern was the chance that it might become unsecure, however unlikely. Lots of excited small children running around (some of whom like to play "Let's Climb Uncle B2Tall"), lots of alcohol flowing with a couple of folks being fairly intoxicated. I didn't feel the need to add a firearm to the mix. Amazingly enough I survived the party in spite of not being armed.

I'll clarify the statement in question by saying we secured our pistols elsewhere than on our persons.

I briefly considered it as a joke but I felt that there was a much better chance that you were splitting hairs. You have been known to do that on occasion. Guess I was wrong.

I pay my friends very well and they are all currently under contract with me.
