New years eve carry...

Tonight I know alot of people are gonna be out celebrating the end of 2011. I'm going to be out with a couple of friends. I'm not gonna be drinking for several reasons...

-Will be driving.
-Will be carrying.
-I don't drink to begin with.

Anyone else plan on carrying this new years eve?

Count me in on carrying. Travelling from Missouri to SC and will be stopping at a hotel in TN tonight with the family.
 
I will be carrying tonight out for dinner... no drinks til I reach the safety of my house. Not worth iy ever, especially on amateur night.

Not carrying, but sitting right next to me. I don't venture out on amateur night. I might even load up a mag with FMJ and dump them into the ground at midnight. After that, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Another new year, whoopee!
 
I don't drink and I don't do night clubs. Spending the night at home w/ DW probably playing xbox kinect golf.

Will be carrying as usual
 
Carrying tonight...not drinking. I seldom do anyway and I am sure I will not missed it a bit.

I already did. Took the wife and kids out for early dinner at a Hibachi / Sushi restaurant. Wore my my S&W Bodyguard. Home for the night, watching the Bruins. Will have a champagne toast before bed....in about an hour!
 
I'm carrying. I'm home. Wife goes in to work at 10pm. I'm doing laundry. :rollseyes:

I've had some wings and a Sam Adams Boston Ale about an hour ago, I may even have another before midnight. If I can stay awake that long!

I burned up all my fascination for howling at the moon on New Years Eve a long time ago.
 
Carried to a friend's party tonight. Checked my pistol at the door because there were a lot of children running around and I didn't want to worry about it (my friend carries so it wasn't an issue with the host objecting. We both secured our pistols.) Had 2 beers and half a glass of champagne in 3 hours, went straight home.
 
Did carry tonight. Went to friends home for the celebration. I decide it would be a better idea to put my gun in the lock box in the trunk for tonight. Had the traditional champagne toast at midnight and a celebratory Crown along with a real nice Cohiba. Pretty much left the gun in the car out of respect for my friend that does not know I carry and we had a lot of young ones running around.

I don't know..would that still be considered 'carrying'?

I carried all night.
I don't mix with a wild crowd to begin with so that helps a lot.
Was with the wife, the kiddo and some friends from our monthly poker group. I drank soda all evening (Dr Pepper). At midnight I drank some Martinellis sparkling apple cider (looks just like champagne).
We left for home after 2am. Got home safe and sound.

It was secure - on my hip, covered by my overshirt. My concern was the chance that it might become unsecure, however unlikely. Lots of excited small children running around (some of whom like to play "Let's Climb Uncle B2Tall"), lots of alcohol flowing with a couple of folks being fairly intoxicated. I didn't feel the need to add a firearm to the mix. Amazingly enough I survived the party in spite of not being armed.

I'll clarify the statement in question by saying we secured our pistols elsewhere than on our persons.
