I can't decide to go with s&w m&p or a ruger compact. Any ideas?

I have a Ruger SR9 and a S&W M&P 40 compact..... I like them both, but I really love the M&P.... It is now my EDC, and the Ruger is a safe queen. They are both great guns, the M&P just fits my hand better....
Oh, and it has a ct laser.... Its a great gun.

I use to carry s&w sig 9 and now carry bersa 380 I kinda want a full size again but like the compact type as well. Maybe I'll carry both.

Since I carry a .45 I can't really offer a suitable response to the choice of these small guns, but I will say I went through about half a dozen guns over a period of a year or more before I started identifying a couple I felt comfortable with.
I have shot the LCP and it seems to be a good little gun and fairly inexpensive, so I guess I would say, get the LCP and carry it while you are looking for Mr. Right. At least that way you have a gun for now. And if you later decide on another type, the LCP can be a BUG, or will sell very quickly as they are popular.

Get to a range and try before you buy. Other people can post here all day long about guns they like or don't like but you need to personally see what works best for you. What works well for others may not work for you at all.

I normally carry a Glock 27 or 30. I was able to shoot a friends LCP buy really had a hard time with the trigger travel. It seemed like the pull took forever before the hammer break and the snap was not what I was used to. Dont get me wrong, I like the size and concealability, it's just that when you are used to a different firearm, it feels really odd. With enough range time any of these that are listed are great EDC's. Something to also consider is the environment that you will be carrying in. Is it cold, hot or both? In the winter here I carry the Glock 30, but during the summer months, a little pocket pistol would be very appreciated.

Just some thoughts to consider.

So now you got every kind of answer you want. You want to go to a gun shop that carries a broad range of firearms and at least "feel" them all. If you can fire some of them all the better. If you know of gun clubs in area or if there is a gun show in your area, that is also helpful. Then make a decision on your own. Owning a firearm is not about writing a thread: can't hurt to ask but it is about your own hands on due diligence.
