Got a used ria compact 1911 this afternoon. It has had a trigger job and a Beavertail safety upgrade done and a set of rattle snake grips on it. I put a quite a few rounds through it today and I got to say its not bad for the buck buts it's along way from my sig 1911

Sounds amazing the grips are rattlesnake that's cool .

My sig 1911 is also rock solid!...i'd love to see a picture of the snake skin grips. They sound like fun.

If that is the target you were shooting as your picture, then I would have to say it is every bit as good as your sig. Cheap or not. (Assuming no FTEs, Double feeds, etc.) What more do you need? Fit and Finish? Its a $300 tool. I would rather and a pistol that looks like crap, but goes bang every time, over one that looks awesome, but cannot be depended upon. (Not speaking of your sig as they are fine pistols.)
YMMV
