New to CCW

I am not new to shooting, been around guns since I went shooting with my dad as a younger boy. I am however new to getting my own guns and a concealed carry permit as I recently turned 21. I am a resident of Arizona so I don't -need- a permit but I would like to get one anyway to be responsible about it and know the laws and such. Any tips for a newcomer? Where is a good place for a CCW class with a personal protection and/or home protection aspect?

I for got to say Paulden, AZ home of Gunsite is a great place for training. I do not know if they teach a CCW course.

welcome to the forums you will find alot of good info on this site for sure being you already know about guns and safety i would think researching the gun laws in your state for sure and keep track of your range times and how you practiced perhaps you can find some certified instructors and pick their brains too for tactical trainings
