The Firearm Blog has a story about Academy Sports accidentally advertising a new model of the Smith & Wesson M&P series. The advertisement has been removed, but not before The Firearm Blog copied the posted information.

A revamp of the Smith & Wesson M&P series has been rumored for a while, including a 15-round Glock 19 sized pistol, which the current M&P line lacks. The new Smith & Wesson M&P M2.0 seems to come in 9mm and .40 S&W. Prices were listed at $529.99. Note the new thumb safety design. More details can be found at The Firearm Blog. It looks like the M&P M2.0 line may become official at Shot Show in a few weeks.

PS: I will not buy anything from Academy Sports anymore after they removed all of their AR-15s from display.

S&W M&P M2.0 Pistol is here

It's official. The S&W M&P M2.0 Pistol is here. Read the details from S&W. It comes in 9mm, .40 S&W and .45 ACP. It comes with and without thumb safety and is supposed to be ambidextrous.
