New Ruger SR40c

I just got out today to shoot my new pistol. I do have to say that I am very impressed with this weapon. A very controllable .40 cal. Great to see a high quality, American gun!!

i have a sr9c waiting for me at the gun store but i cant pick her up until the sheriff dept finishes with my permit, i am getting antsy always hearing so many good things about the sr's. i actually contacted ruger complementing them on such a good gun at a wonderful price, and American made, and the other day in the mail i received a free hat and stickers thanking me for the support and everything, just shows what a good company ruger is and the fact that they truly apprciate each and every customer. (although i haven't shot it i did handle it for a while in the store and compared to others. feels great in my hand)

I can not speak for all Rugers, but the 3 I have are great American guns. P90, GP100, and Super Redhawk.

Congratulations, I wish Ruger would make an SR45c. They make great guns for reasonable prices. I own six:

I bought a SR40c a few wks ago...sent back as defective...best explanation is gouge marks inside the slide, top/front of ejection cut, several failures to go into battery & caused scarring to bbl from movement. Ruger was very good about the process by sending UPS to pick up the gun and sent me a replacement gun in about a 2+wk span after they had received it for evaluation. New replacement gun seems to be OK and only put 24 rds thru it so far but it functioned well. When weather gets some better I will make more shooting sessions to wring it out for reliability. It may be my carry gun so must be reliable. No bones to pick with Ruger on this their gal who was in contact with me was very nice and helpful in the process.

I've had nothing but great luck with my Ruger's. The SR40c is an awesome firearm and will give you years of dedicated service.

Glad to hear they are taking care of you! I worked in quality control for many years, one thing I've learned is you can't stop every bad product from gettin out the door, no matter how hard you try.

Ruger SR40

I just bought my first Ruger semiauto this weekend, the SR40, and love it, put about 200 rnds through it w/o a problem. I am now a fan. Been shooting their revolvers for some time, but now will be looking at more autos.
