New push for FL open carry

Just saw on the evening news that there is a new push in FL for open carry. It's backed by a local Jacksonville attorney I believe with support from the NRA. Let's see of it gets any traction.

I fully support open carry, however I'm not holding my breath seeing it happen in Florida.

I sent out a few e-mails to civil my servants, here's hoping.

They don't seem too strict about it anyway, I've noticed quite a few people carrying more or less openly...like at gas stations and stuff.
I know they changed the law not too long ago about accidentally showing a firearm so we're moving in the right direction.

In Tennessee we can carry open or concealed by law. Rarely do I ever see open carry other than in the parking lot of the local gun shop/range.

As we went through stages of laws being passed, anti-gun arguments always had things back in the wild west, gun fights on every street, saloon brawls, etc.

I had not heard of any such. We now have laws allowing guns in parks and restaurants serving alcohol. The doomsayers always paint the most negative picture they can to spread fear.
