New Purchase, S&W Model 10 w/ Pics!

I picked this baby up today for $200, mechanical functioning is near flawless. It was a security company sell-off and the LGS got his truck load worth. Serial number is a C-411XXX, placing it in the '58-'59 manufacture period and yes... she's a 5-screw model. Let the envy begin... lol.

Lol... right... For what it's worth I picked this up at East Coast Guns in Summerville, SC and yes, he has a few more.

Serial# is S844xxx, which looks like it puts it in the 1946-48 range, which fits. My Dad bought it new. He owned a ranch in Colorado that was close to a lake, and had great goose hunting. Rather than fighting access to his property, he made it controlled access and sold hunting permits. The nearest LE was 30 miles away by unimproved road and when he discussed the issue with the sheriff, the sheriff's answer was to present him with a Special Deputy badge. He bought this gun at that time, although I don't think he carried it much.

BTW, this isn't a Model 10. It's the M&P, the Model 10's daddy.
