New Navy commercial.

What do you guys think of the new Navy commercial? See or feel anything wrong in it?

They forgot the part about not obeying unconstitutional and illegal orders.

Gotta ask...did the Navy not order helmet covers?

No American flags in the video (besides maybe the patch on one of the helmets.

Strong suggestion of a global order, for the good of "everyone".

What happens when the authority above them tell's them to throw out the Constitution? Do they, defend the Constitution? Or do they follow orders?

Some of the questions that came to my mind.

Seems to me a big selling point would have been that the lunatic fringe political right types haven't infiltrated the Navy to the extent they have the other services (except for the occasional clownish Kliningschmitt types, of course).

Too Obamaesque mentality for my tastes...

I am telling you. They used to advertise for the NASCAR type. That has all changed now. They don't want the GOD and Country type anymore.
They want the Broadway show tune types.
When I say They I mean the current administration.
Don't be a neanderthal be progressive.

The part that struck me was the I will obey the orders of those appointed over me. WHAT!!!!!!!.

Split tails and NON American values resonate in this VID. Really, NOT in my Navy! The cohesiveness that used to be the THE NAVY no longer exist. It's a shame. USN 1975-1987 (TMT-1)

Emerson, you just made the ignore list with some other leftwing freaks

I don't put them on my ignore list. I just ignore them. Whilst trolls, yahoos and the insane pass through occasionally. I try to at least establish a base line , in my mind, who are trolls, yahoos and the insane. Good call on this one :>) Of course you know I'm the "lunatic fringe"

Looks harmless to me. Point of it is to recruit kids who still don't have their frontal lobes developed yet (decision making part of the brain)...frontal lobes come in at about 22 for women, not til 25 for men...shows teamwork and I'm sure the prospective kids can envision themselve behind one of those big guns. I for sure wouldn't want one of them comin' after me.

Bottom line, the 18 year old without frontal lobes has no chance against a recruiter . The kids don't yet get that if they're behind one of them awsome guns that means someone out there is gonna be directing hostile fire at them...

More of the same, getting the young and dumb to volunteer to fight wars they don't understand for people they'll never meet. Encouraging the global police mentality we have in today's AmeriKa, it's our responsibility to go around the globe killing people for political reasons and trying to insert "democracy" into the region consisting of people who don't want our way of life. Carl von Clausewitz felt war was the continuation of politics by other means... he was right, for the most part. When dealing in nations, war is always political. War is only personal, when it's personal... if you get what I mean.

Gordon Klingenschmitt was an officer in the Air Force for eleven years before becoming a minister and chaplain in the Navy. He was in an evangelical offshoot of the Episcopal Church and did some very clownish things while in uniform. One thing he fought with the Navy about was not being able to use the name of Jesus Christ during prayers, which was in a directive issued by the Navy. Can't fault him for that however, some of his other antics did indeed get him in hot water and eventually led to court martial.

How about the fact that they left out: "against all enemies Foreign AND Domestic"!!
As stated in: United States Uniformed Services Oath of Office
