Hard not to like them is it? I got mine a few weeks ago and have shot it every time I've had a chance. I'm going in for some surgery tonight so my shooting days are over for a month or so. I plan to take it out of the safe every few days just as an incentive to heal faster! I have been shooting Remington ammo but just got my shipment of M2 ball in. Not quite as much as you got but enough to keep me shooting for awhile! They shoot great don't they?

That is a nice stock.
Wrapped in the flag also? Gun porn?
Why the steel pot? Expecting a blitz, from Fritz?
The M1 is a total classic all the way around.

My Grandfather would have wet his pants looking at those photos. He was a WWII combat veteran and wouldn't have held anything else in his hands. Including for deer hunting. He could accurately shoot and reload 24 rounds (3 clips) in a Garand as fast as you could shoot a 30 round mag in an AR-15. It was a beautiful thing to watch. All of the men on my Dads side were Combat vets and had their favorite battle rifles. My Great Grandfather was the Springfield 03 since he was a WWI vet. My Dad was a Ranger at the end of Korea and was in the initial duty of Vietnam. He was an M14 man. I too like the M1A's and of course the AR's of today. But we ALL liked the Garand. I still have my Garand and both of my Grandfathers. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I've enjoyed mine over the years.
