Does anyone know for sure what concealed carry laws in Mo. will be after Jan 1st 2017?
If no license in required in Mo. can you carry across state lines?
Permit-less carry begins Jan. 1st but does not enjoy the same privileges as permit carry. For example, with a permit, if you carry in one of the places listed in RSMo 571.107, you are discovered, you are asked to leave, you refuse to leave, and the police are called, you can be charged with an infraction (exceptions are Federal Buildings, Buses and Bus Stations, Airport controlled areas, and Trains are a crime). First time infraction is a $100 fine.
Without a permit if you are caught carrying in places listed under RSMo 571.107, you are asked to leave, you refuse to leave, and the police are called you can be charged with a Class B Misdemeanor at minimum. You will also not be covered under the exemption in the Federal Gun Free School Zone act.
You will not be able to carry in locales that have an ordnance against open carry. Not that you will be dis-allowed to conceal in these locales, but if your gun becomes exposed, you could be charged with an open carry infraction.
Please do your research and learn how to conceal so no other person will know that you are carrying. Also, study RSMo 563 (Justification of Defense). Please know when you are justified to use lethal force and when you are not.
Cheers!
