Hey guys I'm new to the forum and waiting to get my cwp from the state. I need to find a good holster for a 38 special. I live in Greenville who has the best selection? I've already looked around traders and Allen arms.

I'm not from SC but spent some time there earlier this year for work and went by Palmetto State Armory, ended up with a bunch of AR stuff in the trunk and truly liked the store and staff. I went in Columbia but I think they have a couple other stores.

I'm new here too but not new to carrying. I've always carried and as soon as there was a CHL available in Texas I got mine as fast as the wheels would turn! My wife carries a .38 special Mod. 85 Taurus I tweeked for her in an open top inside the waistband (clip) type holster. This allows for several types of carry and immediate access. As far as the holster for you my advice would be to try several before you make upyour mind. There are a lot out there in all price ranges and you don't have to pay a fortune for a good holster.
