Hey all,

First post on the forum, just thought I'd drop in and say hello. I'm currently serving active duty in the United States Air Force in South Korea and will be returning to the states in July. When I return, I'll be putting in the paperwork for my CCW (in Virginia) and I'll also be picking up a brand new Glock 19 Gen 4. Can't wait to get my hands on it! While waiting to receive my CCW, I'll probably be trying open carry for the first time, so we'll see how it goes. Looking forward to learning a lot from you all and browsing the forum. Thanks!

Thanks for your service from an Army Vet. ;)

Korea has got to be amazing. I never got to that neck of the woods. I see photos from the dmz, and it just amazes me.

Safe travels brother.

Welcome aboard! I've never served in the military, but appreciate all you do. Thank you and safe travels.

Welcome aboard.
My Gen 2 Glock 19 was my primary carry sidearm for numerous years both on & off duty (I still have it).
It's an excellent choice i.m.o.

Welcome to this group, Jordan! Thank you for your service and all of us here wish you will (and can) safely be back home here in the States.

From Missouri.

Thank you all for the warm welcome! This forum has already been a fantastic source of information for me about open and concealed carry laws and the proper way to go about doing both. The Glock will be my first handgun purchase, so needless to say I am pretty excited about it. I'm currently trying to work with Fairfax County to see if they will process the application with me being overseas. Not sure if it will work out, but I hope that it will! I'm an AF Cop, so already having the weapons qualifications makes it surprisingly easy to get the concealed permit.

Belated welcome to the board, and thank you for your service! Do not see why it would be an issue getting your permit while in Korea. I just recently got my Virginia Non-Resident permit without setting foot in VA. Hardest part may be the fingerprinting for the background check. Had to use local PD here in Texas. Not sure what acceptable options there are in Korea.
If you get a chance, flip off that little **** in N. Korea for me! I hear he so ron-ry, oh so ron-ry!!
