New Finish for carry gun?

I have a full size 1911 that I carry on a regular basis. I would like to have a new finish put on as the original finish is scratched and looking a little more worn than I would like and I worry about rust/pitting from the loss of protective finish. What would be a good/strong finish that would hold up to daily carry? Im not looking for camo or bright flashy finishes. Any ideas would be helpful.
