The Florida incident has set back gun rights an immeasurable amount. In my state, the Democrate controlled Senate leader was already inclined to choke off pro gun legislation passed by the Republican controlled House. The negative attention generated by what happened in Florida will give him much more support to accomplish his goal than he ever would have had before it happened.
