Nevada To Honor Arizona CCW Permits 7/1/11

That's good news. Living in the tri-state area, we are only 3 miles from Nevada and am really tired of having to leave our guns in the truck every time we shop, visit, or just cruise for burgers.

I've got a Calif. resident CCW, and Utah non-resident permit.... Arizona is allowed for my to CCW with those permits. Wonder if that would mean I'd be legal to carry in Nevada? Reno's our "Big City", and it'd be nice to be able to carry there...

Yup. I'm careful to lock the pistol up w/o the magazine before crossing the state line from CA into NV. They do allow open carry, but I'm not interested in calling attention to myself. I also heard on today's news from Reno that the State Legislature passed a measure allowing a semi-auto CCW holder to carry any semi-auto w/o the need to qualify with each firearm.
Still not sure if the permits I hold would allow carry into NV... I'll have to call the Washoe County Sheriff's Office and ask.

While it's not 'official' yet there appears to be a credible source stating it's a done deal.

Link to Arizona Citizens Defense League facebook page. The second post is a good read. I know that many in California have flooded AZ DPS with applications since this information was made available.

Only time will tell if it was a well spent $60.00

This the third time I have heard this rumor. Hoping it's true - Vegas is going to feel a whole lot safer next time I visit with my good friend, Sig.

If I'm not mistaken, Nevada honors Cali CCW.

Not true, but even if there are other states that claim to honor CA permits, CA permits are virtually impossible to verify in the field, as there is no central database, so it doesn't really matter.

Definitely not! Buuuuut, your other permits will qualify for the training/experience requirement for the AZ permit. So, it would cost you $82 for the first 5 years.
