Nevada reprocity with AZ?

Is Nevada going to accept Arizona CCW?
It seems like I heard they were going to starting July 1st.
Now I can't find where I heard it from. :(

There was a thread on CalGuns, but I am not holding my breath until I see something official from the state.

Back in May 2011, the NVSCA held their annual meeting in which they determine and decide which states' CCW permits NV will honor.

NVSCA has yet to make an official announcement, but a NV news agency is now reporting what NVSCA decided.

States that NV will honor on 07-01-2011: (new states in red)
Alaska
Arizona
Arkansas
Kansas
Kentucky
Louisiana
Michigan
Missouri
Nebraska
New Mexico
North Carolina
Ohio
Rhode Island
Tennessee
West Virginia

It's official.
Effective 07-01-2011, NV will honor the AZ & KY CCW permits.

I also would like to know why Nevada won't recognize the Texas CHL.
We must complete a 10 hour class, qualify on the range and pass the background check.

Does TX have a data base of CCW permittees that is accessible by LEOs 24 hours per day, every day?

That is oftentimes the reason NV won't honor a particular state.

The NSCA is adamant about LEOs being able to access an electronic data base at any time to verify permit validity.

I know why TX isn't eligible; they issue to 18 year olds who are military. They fail the age requirement for issuance to be on the NV list.
